Bluestriped grunts are one of the Caribbean’s most striking reef fish, and they always seem to find a way to catch my attention. While snorkeling or diving, I frequently encounter entire schools tucked away in the shade beneath a dock or pier, or gathered together in the dark crevices of the reef.

There is something captivating about watching these fish hover together in the shadows, their vibrant blue and yellow stripes glowing against the darker surroundings. This piece captures one of those quiet underwater moments.
