A colorful painting featuring a green moray eel, coral, fish, and sponges created with dot painting technique.

So far, I have visited Roatán, Honduras, twice, and each time I have stayed at the dive resort of CocoView.

Diving in Roatán is easy and fun. Every dive feels like an underwater Easter egg hunt as you search for all the creatures hiding among the reef. One of my all-time favorite underwater creatures is the eel. Their graceful movements, striking colors, and intricate patterns make them especially captivating to find.

Titled “CocoView,” this piece highlights some of my favorite creatures to encounter on these dives, from the slender filefish and bicolored damselfish to the flamingo tongue snail and, of course, a green moray.

Original acrylic pointillism on 16× 20-inch canvas.
