Longsnout Seahorse
The first time I saw a seahorse in the wild was while diving in Roatán, Honduras. Longsnout seahorses can be spotted with some frequency if you know where—and more importantly, what—to look for. Their incredible camouflage allows them to blend seamlessly into their surroundings, making each sighting feel like discovering a hidden treasure.
These delicate creatures can be found in a surprising range of colors, including black, pink, red, and yellow. Their graceful forms and remarkable ability to disappear into their surroundings make every encounter with a seahorse a special one.
This piece celebrates the quiet beauty of these tiny, delicate animals and the joy of spotting something extraordinary hiding in plain sight.
