Tidal Treasure Trove marked an important turning point in my pointillism. It was my first time creating a larger-scale piece and the beginning of a shift toward using multiple species to create a more immersive underwater scene.

The piece was inspired by tide-pooling adventures and shallow-water dives, where I encountered little red octopuses. Despite their name, these fascinating creatures can transform into a surprising array of colors, making every encounter a little different.
